A Thousand Nights and One Day
In reference to the middle eastern book of folktales "One Thousand and One Nights" (aka Arabian Nights 1775) Notable for stories such as Aladdin, Ali baba and Sinbad the Sailor. This artwork features a young girl Reem (2020 - 2024). Reem is painted in oil in order to create a puzzle from her image which would later be used in the final work.
